Novel Adventure is a woman-owned mobile bookshop crafted for adult readers who crave escape, passion, and thrilling twists. We have a variety of adult fiction and self care titles, as well as merchandise for book lovers.

Helianthus Books is your Kansas City area pop-up bookshop offering a curated collection of books for all ages with authentic representation of the Disability, Black, Asian, Indigenous, Hispanic, Latine, Intersectional Feminist, LGBTQIA+ communities, and Spanish language books.

Raw Taro is run by lettering artist and illustrator, Tara Raweewon (she/her). Her work ranges from supporting the social causes she is passionate about to her favorite pieces of media (movies, tv, music, books, etc). All work is hand drawn, using analog materials or an iPad. No AI is used in the process.

I am an artist who enjoys channeling my inner nerd to create colorful and cozy works of art. Based out of my home studio in Kansas City, I craft illustrated gifts and goodies for the weird and whimsical - bringing a touch of charm and geeky delight to everyday life.

Love With Abandon is the creative soul of artist and author Alicia Scioli. Blending storytelling with handmade artistry, she creates one-of-a-kind junk journals, bookish treasures, and paper goods inspired by magic, manifesting, and self-expression. Her work is made for readers, dreamers, and seekers.

A.L. Davidson (she/they/he) is a queer and disabled indie author specializing in haunting and horrifying horror romance and the coziest urban fantasies and sci-fi you’ll find this side of the galaxy. She is a multi-award nominated, severely tired writer with an array of published tales ranging from short stories to full length novels and beyond. She currently lives in Kansas City with her cat, Jukebox, and way too many plants.

Hannah Gordon is an indie author of fantasy and romantasy/paranormal romance!

The son of a librarian, writing was as inevitable to Chris as gravity. His cyberpunk series, The Jayu City Chronicles, is available everywhere books are sold. His memoir, My Name Was Baby, is forthcoming in Fall 2026. He has an MFA in creative writing from UMKC and lives in Raytown with his wife and cats.

Lyd Low Studios blends the macabre with the sensual with their vivid illustrations. Their work pulls from nature, folklore, and explores the intersection between desire and wrath.

Samantha Moran (she/her) is a multi-genre author primarily focused on supernatural horror, thriller, and fantasy. She is fascinated by all manner of things that go bump in the night and strives to create relatable characters who face realistic problems in fictional settings. As her motto claims, she is a firm believer in the idea that "happily ever after is overrated" and prefers her stories to be full of twists and mysteries.

Josephine A. Osmond is an author of young adult urban fantasy retellings. Her book, Myth and Mantle, is a feminist take on Cupid lore, where Cupid is more than just a matchmaking baby with a bow and arrow.

Bailey Elizabeth started penning her first novel when she was twelve years old and never looked back. Now, she’s the author of an ever-growing list of weird, genre-bending horror and romance books. When she isn’t writing or editing, she can be found studying for her grad classes, taking care of her many rescues, and adventuring outdoors. She's also trying to open a bookstore called Plot Twist Cafe in her college town of Maryville, Missouri!

K.B. Kiwi's Art Emporium, LLC is a passion project of love! Exploring fandoms and photography, KB's art implores people to fully embrace their sassy, nerdy side and to see the world around them in nerdy eyes, with a dash of "smash the patriarchy" for good measure. KB is a part-time artist and a full-time nerd who loves nothing more than to spread that shared love of books, movies, and TV shows with all other curious souls.

Read & Rooted is a romance and more bookstore and plant shop located in downtown Blue Springs, MO. They specialize in love stories from sweet to seriously spicy, plus houseplants galore, and cozy, giftable goodies.

I am a disabled veteran, wife, mother, and a nerd. I am a paranormal romance author, but plan on branching out into other genres. So far I have published three books; Unbalanced, Leona, and Abyssal with a fourth on it's way.

I'm a modern polymer clay artist with a deep love for books, storytelling, and all things cozy. I love to create tiny worlds that each tell a piece of a story for my customers to take home with them.

Sometime in the 80s, Stacy heard her mom utter a sentence that would morph into a dream and one day become a reality. Her mom told her, "I could see you becoming a writer." That sentence opened up a possibility in her mind that would take years to manifest into her passion, but luckily, with the unwavering support of family and friends, the dream she envisioned years before finally came to fruition.
Along with a love of writing and reading, Stacy also loves a good horror story. So she incorporated that love into what she writes. She has four books published by the small independent publishing company called Solstice Publishing, and those books encompass multiple genres, including psychological thrillers, mystery, drama, and, of course, horror!
When she isn't writing or scaring herself unnecessarily, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two sons, exploring their home state of Kansas City, or traveling and finding new adventures together. She loves connecting with her readers and sharing her love of books with them!

Alba Juseth Laredo Shelton is a Mexican artist born in Coacalco Berriozabal, Mexico and moved to the United States when she was two years old. Shelton utilizes her experiences growing in the Unites States as a young immigration to create work that addresses ceramics Latin culture with kitchen functional pottery, matcha bowls, bowls, salsa bowls, strainers, mugs, cups, spoons rests, garlic grinders, bread ok marks and many more painted individually with colorful designs and handmade perfectly imperfect.

Exploring the intersections of community, culture, and the horrors, the artist behind Mx of Bizarre takes you on a journey through the Midwestern Gothic. Ryder has sold their work through the Midwest and most recently has lent their skills to the ACLU for their nationwide banner campaign “Freedom to Be” for trans rights and advocacy.
