Andy Lozano

Hello my name is Andy Lozano (he/him) and I am a Mexican American illustrator and watercolor artist based in Kansas City. A graduate of CalArts with a background in animation, Andy’s work is inspired by his heritage and his experiences in the Midwest, focusing on vibrant, whimsical illustrations that tell witchy stories. While managing Acute Intermittent Porphyria, Andy continues to pursue his passion for art and storytelling, using his experiences to fuel his creativity. As the Co-RA for the KS/MO region of SCBWI, he brings a deep love for children's books and creative collaboration. With years of experience fostering artistic communities and helping emerging illustrators, Andy is committed to supporting local talent and inspiring the next generation of children's book creators.
